I have a Colorado based real estate agent with a 2400 square foot home that needs to be staged soon. The home is furnished and will be listed at $230,000-$250,000.
This opportunity is only available to Graduates of the Staging Diva Program.
There is a $500 referral fee but ONLY if you get any paid work through the referral to this real estate agent. This is a one time fee regardless of how many clients she refers you to, or how many other agents she puts you in contact with and the number of projects that come from that.
If you’re in or around the Colorado Springs area and interested in being put in contact with this realtor, fill out the form at our new Staging Diva Home Staging Project Referral Service.
Please include “Colorado Springs CO Home Stager” as the Staging Project Location.
Also note that if you don’t already have a website or a page on the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers, it will be tough to join this opportunity. How can this realtor judge your suitability without being able to see your portfolio?
If the idea of putting together a website is overwhelming to you, don’t worry. If you send me photos and copy I can build your page on the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers. Stagers who are found through their listing in the Staging Diva Directory do not pay referral fees, because I don’t need to get involved in playing matchmaker.
Not only is being in The Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers a great way to pick up staging projects, you’ll get calls from the media as well! Imagine what it does to your credibility to say you were interviewed by The Wall Street Journal or that your staging business is featured in a book? This happened to three of the graduates listed in the directory within the last few months, and there’s no reason it couldn’t happen for you too!
Because of all the traffic I get to my two sites, SixElements.com and StagingDiva.com, I get lots of leads on projects from all over Canada and the US and even in England and South Africa! I will only refer them to Staging Diva Graduates.

Hi Debra,
Iam a Certified Home Stager through Center Stage Home, you say you will do a Website but will it cost me an arm and a leg? This is something I was born to do but the business side of me is a little lacking, your response would be much appreciated !
Thanks so much,
Pam
Debra Gould, The Staging Diva says
Pam, I only refer projects to Graduates of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program. They also have to have their own website or be a member of the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers. If you haven’t invested in having your portfolio online, there is no way for me to review it before recommending you and there’s no way for a client to evaluate the quality of your work.
No, it does not cost an “arm and a leg” to join the Staging Diva Directory, in fact the full cost can be made up with a single client. You can learn more about how to join and the costs here, but remember, you can’t join unless you’re also a graduate of the Staging Diva Program.
There is no such thing as a certified home stager since this is a completely unregulated field.
Your certification just means you are certified by the school where you took your course. It’s unfortunate that your other training did not leave you prepared for the business side of home staging. That’s the key to turning your decorating hobby into an actual money making business.
If you’d like to learn more about how to fill in the gaps in your home staging business knowledge, I invite you to check out the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program. It’s based on the more than 20 years I’ve spent working from my own home office, my masters degree in marketing and the fact that I’ve been running a successful home staging business, Six Elements, for 7 years.
Pam, when you’ve found something “you were born to do,” as you say, you owe it to yourself to find out how to make it a success. Otherwise you will be filled with regret for paths not taken and never be sure whether you could have made it work!
