I have a client in Chatanooga Tennessee with a 2,100 square foot house built in the late 1800s. It’s in the process of being renovated and the owner isn’t living there.
This historic home was purchased to renovate, stage and resell and would be a great opportunity to completely furnish a home to sell for top dollar.
Given that it’s empty, this project should generate at least a few thousand dollars in income for the stager. That’s a fair chunk of change considering the Staging Diva Home Staging Training Program only costs $895 and I’ll build you a web page and host it on the high traffic Staging Diva site for a full year for only $795!
By the way, that’s Chattanooga and the Tennessee River shown above in a photo taken from Lookout Mountain. Chattanooga is the fourth-largest city in Tennessee (after Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville). With just under 70,000 households, there’s clearly room for many home stagers in the market. Chattanooga has many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, including two whole neighborhoods: Fort Wood and Saint Elmo.
If you’re interested in this opportunity to home stage a renovated 200 year old home in Chattanooga, TN, email me ASAP with:
- Your name
- Company name
- Phone
- The address of your website
Please include “Chattanooga Home Stager” in the subject line of your email.
Also note that if you don’t already have a website or a page on the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers, it will be more difficult to win this project. It’s hard to convince a client to hire you over the phone if they can’t see your portfolio.
Because of all the traffic I get to my two sites, SixElements.com and StagingDiva.com, I get lots of leads on projects from all over Canada and the US and even in South Africa! I will only refer them to Staging Diva Graduates.
It’s interesting that with all the aspiring Tennessee home stagers that subscribe to my free monthly newsletter Staging Diva Dispatch, none have taken the plunge and committed to building a staging business.
Clearly there’s a demand for stagers in Chattanooga and it’s not even the largest city in the state. I’ve demonstrated with this project that I’m able to get project leads for you. This could be a real opportunity to build a staging business in Tennessee and become the local home staging expert. By the way, once you’re the first to join from any city, you’re listed first as others join the directory in your city, which they inevitably will.
I generate tons of traffic for anyone listed on the Staging Diva site. Only one good project would more than pay for your entire Staging Diva Training Program plus me building and hosting your web page for an entire year! Not to mention this project which I already have, just waiting for the right person!

Dear Diva,
Just wanted to check in to the Chattanooga opportunity — I don’t see a date attached. Also, can you give me an idea of rates in that town? Tennessee rates seem much lower than where I hail from, but here I am! Thank you – Jennet

Jennet, If you’re interested in a job posting, please follow the instructions in the post itself.
As to determining appropriate home staging rates for a particular location, that would be up to you to decide as an independent business owner. If you need help with how to figure out what to charge for your home staging services, I cover that in Course 2 of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program.
